Proverbs 27

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it (v12).

Knowing when to 'take refuge' and when to 'press on regardless' can be tricky. Which situations should we listen to our faith (and ignore any warning signs) and keep going regardless? How do we know when taking refuge actually robs us of the final breakthrough?

I tend to err to conservative refuge and so I often wonder what would have happened had I held my nerve for longer. God only knows but this proverb shores me up in those moments of self doubt.
