The memory of the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot (v7).
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a righteous man whose memory is a blessing. Spurgeon was, amongst many things, a master wordsmith:
"There are no crown-wearers in heaven that were not cross-bearers here below."
"Morality may keep you out of jail, but it takes the blood of Jesus to keep you out of hell."
"Oh that the Lord would saturate us through and through with an undying zeal for the souls of men."
"Evil may ferment, wrath may boil, and pride may foam, but the brave heart of holy confidence trembles not".
